Wood pigeons nesting in a garden in Dunfermline, Scotland. Shows progress from nest building to egg to squab to young adult.
In response to your question..... the camera is a Canon HG20. In fact the nest was only 6 feet from a window which helped considerably with the image quality.
Thank you for your kind comments.
The youtube/blackballtv pages were intended for pool videos to be honest. It was just good fortune that the pigeons arrived about the same time I purchased the camera ..... so it gave me the opportunity to test it out.

  • They're so beautiful. My husband and I just rescued a wood pigeon the other day :)

  • I found a baby pigeon in my garden today but no sign of adults. Adults have been going in and out of ivy on a wall for several weeks so it may have come from there. It was about 20 yds away from the ivy. I kept my eye on it 2day but after walking my dogs tonight, it disappeared and I have spent about two hours looking for it around the bushes etc around the garden but perhaps it's hidden to feel safe. Hope it'll be OK earlier 2day it didn't look like it could fly & it's not got all its feathers

  • @TheDexter2100 Pigeons usually lay only 2 eggs per clutch and they have them few times per year between April-June (for Wood Pigeons). So maybe one egg failed to hatch

  • Lovely. What a cute chick. I saw a young woodpigeon in my garden once - not quite as young as this one but he hadn't got his adult feather yet. The music really suited the video. Brilliant quality too

  • Lovely video!

  • this video makes me ridiculously happy :')

  • Only one chick I thought there would be 3-4. Didn't the Pigeon layed more than one egg...

  • What camera is this?

  • This video is too beautiful for words! I feel as if I have found a treasure, but one that I ma compelled to share!
