He did write "mooshi". But in English "mooshi" is the same as "mushi". Maybe he doesn't know romaji so he spelt "mushi" wrong? Clearly, "mooshi" is not "moshi".

Mooshi mooshi. When used outside of the context of the phone, it means something like "Bug" or "roach" xD
According to my parents, anyway, who tried to get a waiter's attention when they lived in Okinawa in the 70's.. my dad said "MOOSHI MOOSHI!" and the place got DEAD SILENT. Lmao. xD

he said mochi mochi and on the phone it means hello ^^ otherwise you say konnichiwa or konbanwa depends of the time of day or night
@otakuploader moshi moshi is not "Bug" or "roach". Mushi is bug. Maybe your dad spelled it wrongly.
