@AhmidShamahd Logs will float on water because their density is smaller than that of the water. Oil float on water because its density is smaller than that of the water. Boats float on water because its density is less than that of the water. Rocks will sink because its density is larger than that of the water.
Buoyancy has nothing to do with chemistry or shape. It is all about mass.

@AhmidShamahd I do know that the moon has a atmosphere. What I'm saying is that this atmosphere is so thin (this is measured fact) that the atmospheric pressure is 1 013 250 000 000 smaller on the Moon than it is on the Earth. If we were to follow your theory, we would then reason that the gravity also is 1 013 250 000 000 smaller than that of the Earth.
Pleas explain me why the Moon's gravity is only 1/6 of the Earth's.
One question. How do you explain that there is gravity on the Moon, when the atmosphere there is so tenuous that it is almost to be called vacuum?
Also, you should read a bit on the word buoyancy

@DahPianoNut Very simple, when you look at a full moon in a clear night sky, it is visible from earth without a telescope that there is a halo around the moon, this revealing that the moon has an atmosphere that the sun reveals; and this atmosphere is made up of gases; just not complex ones like on earth; and as a result of those gases, a pressure system is present on the moon; and therefore gravity. Furthermore, buoyancy is created by the presence of gases, and would differ without them.

@AhmidShamahd Oh, forgot to mention one thing.
When I said you should read a bit on the word buoyancy, I meant that your understanding of the word might be somewhat wrong. Buoyancy is what makes something float on water, and it is what makes helium balloons fly up in the sky. This happen because the helium is lighter than the air. Something that is heavier than the air, or the water, will sink. You probably knew that already, but here comes my point.

@AhmidShamahd To have something that is heavy or light, you need gravity. So it is wrong to say that buoyancy is gravity, when you need gravity to have buoyancy.
Btw, insert "times" behind the number for how much smaller the atmospheric pressure is on the Moon than on the Earth, which I mentioned in my last post.

@DahPianoNut When did I say that buoyancy was gravity? And also, chemistry is what make thing float on water, and with the right shape, anything can float on water, and with oxygen in matter, buoyancy is made possible, which is why logs; that are heavier than water float on water; oxygen restricts them from sinking, and anything hydrophobic will float on water, like for instance; oil, and although you need gravity to have buoyancy, you can't have gravity without a pressure system.

@DahPianoNut This is why planets have gravity and asteroids don't; planets have a pressure system, and asteroids don't; which is also why asteroids fly right through Jupiter; instead of onto orbit; and like with buoyancy, the core of the planets create the atmosphere, by venting gases into the space, just as logs trap oxygen; you need a pressure system to have buoyancy, and planetary gravity is created by pressure systems, and without a pressure system a planet is like an asteroid.
