Michael Vs Jason: Two up

Ok, this was a silly idea that turned out so much better than I was expecting. I have been either trying to make or collect costumes and props for a major Fan Film I've written the script for, called "Horrific", so I already had the two costumes at home. When the idea came to me, I nutted out the script - one page worth - and sent it to Dr Gonzo. He thought it was great, so over two nights of maybe only two hours per night of filming time, we shot this sucker.

The best part about this flick is how well it finally turned out. It was mostly just a test of a few different things. How the masks worked on camera, now well the camera worked in the dark, editing tricks, fake blood, so on and so forth. I had a bad case of "Screw it, it'll do" the whole time it was shot, 'cause I really wasn't asking to much from it. But I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the final piece. It just worked! the opening sequence was a little bit of a wank I came up with while I was editing it that made me laugh, so I had to do it.

Admitedly, it's uncompleted. There's still a few pieces I want to film, most of them involving Therese. This is also the first time the Swashbuckler Studios logo has been used. I'm going to animate the SBS logo eventually, but this will do for now. I just wanted to get it out there and see if people enjoyed it as much as I do.

And for the sticklers out there, yes, I know the out fits aren't exact. Jason's mask was something I pickede up for 20 bucks in a model store years ago, and the Michael mask was a Tony Blair mask I painted white and sewed a neck on. I live in Oz, so getting authentic masks and outfits is an expensive venture. And, unfortunately, I just haven't been able to justify spending nearly $200 on a single mask. So, make do with what you've got.

Just one. I can never get my head around multiple camera set ups. It only took us two nights to film, about 4-5 hours all up.

Michael's mask IS Tony Blair. An actual Micheal mask was just too expensive, so I found a cheap Tony Blair mask, painted it white and sewed a neck on it. I picked Tony simply cause it was the only mask I could find that had brown hair
