Hey im pretty good at high kicks you should check out my videos called pro high kicks 1 or 2. I just uploaded them and could use some constructive criticism you know? Please anyone who knows good amouns of high kick knowledge and stuff please get back to me

@PS3BozzOezi warm up more, dont push your stretches, breathe and relax into it. Pain is a sign that you've gone too far (too fast).

Yes, its great to do it after you jog...because your muscles are warmed which make stretching a bit more easier.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. It's best to stretch after 5-10 minutes warm up. Then stretch to the point where you are able to execute the kick with power, which mean do not stretch too much before you kick. If you do stretch too much, your muscles will be tire and it seem like jelly. You will lose power that way. Then after your training you can stretch more...and try to stretch even if you are not kicking because it will improve your flexibility over all...

It took me only 3 months to get down to full split when I first started Taekwondo. I my videos there are some of the stretches I usually do.

kikko4e-It is normal that you get a sore tendon on the inner thigh once you go down to split. I feel the pain too, but before you go down to split or any type of stretching, do a quick warm up from 5 - 10 minutes to get your muscles warm. Also do all the necessary stretch first before you go down to split. Take your time do not go down into split right way. There are also excercise you can do to help strenghthen your inner thigh and help ease off the pain. Take care!
