  • hey mike..you r the best teacher...when i first herd the song..i thought its a killer piece...but with your guidance i have learnt it up till here....thanks man keep rockin

    cheers :]

  • Bite sized, I love it. Like so many others I have avoided this beautifully written song my whole life until your lessons. No other guitar song quite stikes me like this one. The sound and the timing are impeccable ,one of the greatest songs for guitars on the planet. Whenever I hear this song I feel sorry that the old timers like Bach and Beethoven never had a chance to hear it. I think thay would have smiled and said "Of course, why didn't I think of that". A long thank you.

  • @PhilipBorrell Considering this video is most popular with men ages 35-64, says YouTube, I doubt many of those comments were from teens, where did that stereotype come from anyway? I'm seventeen, just to clarify.

On another note thankyou Mike for the lessons, absolutely brilliant x

  • Ghosthead69, yes, thanks for the heads up - I knew I was being too general for it to be true in every case. Hope you're enjoying the lessons as much as I am.

  • @PhilipBorrell You are most certainly right. Many people (especially teens) debunk things simply to look "cool" and/or to sound like they have superior knowledge. Having said that, I myself am a teen (a male teen to be exact), and I quite enjoy these lessons. So Mike, keep it up! :D

  • you are tailoring a classic song to tailors. This piece is not for beginners. You should be teaching it the right way

  • Thanks a lot mike... Your lessons give the intricate details in such a lucid manner... thanx a ton for the beautiful lesson.. this piece appears conquerable now!! Thanks again :)))

  • I was kinda hoping to learn to play it with the barre chords, after learning it this way do you think it would be a hard transition to play it with barres? or should I just stop here and learn from the tabs? I've learned all three parts to this in two days or so and can play it at a pretty good speed (about 3/4 of your full speed) without any mutes or buzzing.

  • Best Classical Gas instructional video on YouTube! No joke! A little slow for some people but you can skip ahead because he always recaps his previous lessons.

  • Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You and Thank You some more!

  • Mike - I'm not surprised at your apparent disillusionment re the comments here; the internet can destroy your faith in human nature (am I being too unkind in suggesting the number of complaints might be due to the high number of teen users?). Anyway, I think your work here, in making classical gas accessible to guitar players of my calibre, is nothing short of brilliant. Thanks a lot!
