Music Bin: Michael Copon (1/2)

Michael Copon will do front act on Bruno Mars Live in Manila and Cebu concerts this April 2011.

Michael was born in Virginia to a Filipino father and a German-American mother. A model, singer, and actor, he appeared in several films like the "Scorpion King: Rise of a Warrior" and teen flick "Bring it On: In it or Win it". He was rumored to be Jacob in the "Twilight Saga" before Taylor Lautner grabbed the role. He was also recently rumored to date Kim Kardashian.

He appeared in several TV series. He was Felix Taggaro in "One Tree Hill" playing as former boyfriend of Brooke Davis (played by Sophia Bush) in Season 2. He appeared on 11 episodes of the show. He also played Lucas Kendall as Blue Ranger in Power Ranger series. He made small appearances in Scrubs, CSI Miami, Hawaii Five-O, and Greek among others.

Among his upcoming projects is the 2012 movie "A Forgotten Innocence" playing the leading man, written and produced by a fellow Filipino-American Reno Ursal.

"I want to go to Cavite and trace my roots," said Michael, "I want to check out my relatives there."

"I think I'm a little bit of both. I grew up more American but as I grew older I became interested in the Filipino culture. I've been learning how to speak Tagalog. I'm a huge lover of Filipino food...sinigang, adobo, pansit, mechado.

we dont really hear of Michael Copon in the music scenes here in the U.S. Although he does have a good voice.
