The Mo Biography

The Mo, also known simply Mo , was a Dutch pop band that was founded in 1979 by brothers Clement and Huub de Lange. Their debut album ('Mo), with saints Bright as a singer and Harm Bieger as a drummer, had a separate instrumentation: the guitar was missing, instead testing instruments (such as Wurlitzer piano, clavinet) and a' classical 'wind instrument: the bassoon. In February 1981 the album reached the top 10. Successful single was for 'Nancy' and above all for 'Fred Astaire'.
After the group broke up in mid 1981 was made under the name Mo Harm a new start. With three new band members, including singer Linda Bloemhard, he tried to copy the original Mo and follow up the success. It was followed by two albums ("Ha! Ha! The Sound Of Laughing and" Stop Staring "), but only qualitatively could not compete with the original debut album. Well it was quite successful in halls circuit, based in part on the stage personality of Linda and a modest hit-listing for the song "Cheese". The single 'Asia' in 1984 brought a tipparade listing but in 1985 it was eliminated second Mo.

The Mo have released two albums: "City Heart" (2002) and "Night at the Zoo" (2004).
The Dutch band, Mo was known to be an experimental pop band at the peak of New Wave.

Asia, By MO

Did you ever hear about the girls in China?
Did you ever listen to a tin drum?
Miraculous mandarin the man from the east sings a song about a Cantonese boy
I am here but I can feel the yellow magic of the rising sun

I've never traveled far from Europe
Can't spare the money nor the time
The only oriental things I know
I've learned from listening to the radio

Asia
Asia

I'd like to go to the end of Asia
Riding on the New Delhi line
I've never traveled far from Europe
Can't spare the money nor the time
The only oriental things I know
I've learned from listening to the radio

Asia
You've never been so close to me
Asia
You're all I hear and all I see
Asia
You've never been so close to me
Asia
You're all I hear and all I see

Asia
Asia
Asia
Asia

Asia
You've never been so close to me
Asia
You're all I hear and all I see
Asia, oh Asia
You've never been so close to me
Asia, oh Asia
You're all I hear and all I see
Asia, oh Asia
You've never been so close to me....
