@confluential We also know because the Spirit of God bears witness to our hearts that this is so. Jesus asked Peter who he thought he was, and when Peter answered "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God," jesus said "Blessed art thou, Simon bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not shown these things to you, but my Father in heaven." He said this would be the bedrock of His church.
