@MrOblivio Plenty of people did in the beginning of this game. It just seems that important-characters-that-don'­t-have-a-dramatic-death-in-the­-script have an immunity for falling.

@MrOblivio Well, you see, in FFVII Compilation, the BC Turk, Zack, and Cloud had a nifty bed of flowers to break their fall, even 50 meters above the ground. In FFXIII, they're l'Cie. Before they're l'Cie, Snow is Snow.

That is why no one ever dies when they fall from ridiculous heights.
