Clinton is a leader. as he said if you put Another back in this system they wont produce as much as clinton portis. How quicky people forget, his first year he had 1300 yards and 5 tds he had 1500 yards and 11 tds about 2 years ago. Last year he had 1200 yards and 11 tds. he had one bad year, thats when he got hurt and he still had 7tds that year. I would say there are 4 backs more consistent than him

@rydah619 you're right bro, he never took Portis' spot, he's never had a better season than Portis' best season, he's not on the team anymore... I get all that. Once again, it wasnt my original point man. Yeah he's never had a legit 1500+ season, but he also doesnt talk trash in interviews, and it didnt look like he gave up last season. I just dont like Portis anymore man, I used to really like him.. Until I saw him play last season, and found out what hes like off the field. shrug.

so once again... YOU compared the numbers. To bring up 06 again, CP started 7 of those games, and betts still got 1200+. The point I was trying to make from the beginning was I would rather have a player on my team who actually cares about the team, and will go and play his heart out... Ladell and Rock filled in more than adequately. Call me an idiot all you like, but it doesnt change the fact that CP is hurting this team, not because hes 30, but because hes an asshole. Period.

He did go for 1200 in 2006 though (1500 if you add receiving yds). CP isnt being cut because hes 30, hes being cut because of his attitude.

I put the question mark after the 07 because I wasnt sure ;). I never said betts had a 1000 yard season. You ask how betts is doing... how is portis doing? He's on the team because he's already guaranteed 6 million for the season, so why cut him? Coach is already making moves so his spot is filled after the season, maybe even before the end.
