I have found at least one fanmade trailer for every other Narnia book. Except this one. So I took it upon myself to make a trailer for my favorite Narnia book, The Horse and His Boy.

FAQs

Isn't Aravis supposed to have darker skin?/Aravis is a Calormen, they are dark!
Yes, she is. I know. But as a nod to the Aravis fanlisting site, I am using the actress they are using for the site's different formats, Eva Green. And you have to admit, those Kingdom of Heaven pictures fit pretty well.

Why is Aravis so much older than Shasta?
Again, using Eva Green as a nod to the fanlisting. Alex Pettyfer is a British actor I found *after hours of searching for a young blond Brit who wasn't William Moseley* that I feel would be perfect for Shasta, if he weren't going to be too old by then.

Isn't Alex Pettyfer too old NOW?
Technically, yes. I always imagined Shasta around 12 or 13, and Alex is 17 or 18. But then again, Peter was supposed to be 13 in LWW, and they made him 17 in the movie. Go figure. *edit: Alex is now 21 and entirely way too old. Obviously Eva Green is in her 30s and again WAY too old. But this is a fan-video, not my serious casting choices.*

Which horse is which?
Bree is the dapple-gray, Hwin is the brown. I'm not positive what color Hwin actually is *I'm not even sure if it was clearly stated in the book* so I made her brown.

*Disclaimer: I do not own Disney, Narnia, the soundtrack, or their affiliates. I do not own the Alex Pettyfer photos or Eva Green photos.*

  • Is this actor who represents Aravis is Morgana in Camelot ?

  • @headburnerable Yes. And I know she's too old for Aravis, I just felt like using her.

  • It is four run aways Cor, Avaris, Bree, and Hwin. They are the same age and the Colormens have dark skin. Otherwise great trailer. This was my favorite book of the series! :D

  • @MRdaBakkle And you are one more person I have to tell to read the video information, because my awareness is listed there in paragraph explanations.

  • @MRdaBakkle But thank you for the compliment and your support of Aslan. Further up and further in! :)

  • Long Live Jadis - the TRUE QUEEN OF NARNIA! She will return!!!

  • @YemeniteChanter Lol how is she the"true queen"? She took it by force! And she's metaphorically Satan. But hey, if that's your cup of tea...

  • The White Witch (Jadis) does represent satan. Aslan represents God and the stories are based around the bible and each have their own meaning. So it is a good Idea to read back and find out about all of the meanings. For I have. I am not going to tell you them because you won't read them then... Great Vid i have to say! Congratulations!

  • Fine, for a slide show, well done! I only object to Neuschwanstein, the Bavarian King Ludwig II, castle, because I live close to it and it is soooooo artificially medieval. and tourist haunted.

But I love the horse pictures, especially the war horse. From this picture one can imagine the problems Bree has to go to Narnia in Punk style...haha...

  • @MegzGinny I think they're going in the order that C.L. Lewis wrote it. However after he wrote the seven books, one of his fans told him that the order should not go in the order he wrote them, rather in Narnian chronological order. Who knows

  • this was the fan vid of the horse and his boy iv gud work :) now if only one culd truly get into narnia frm the bk of ur wardrobe..............

  • Ironically I like the Calormene culture a lot more than the Narnian culture.

  • Rhaa Peter, you are wonderful...

    Who is Cor's actor ?
