A fire broke out Halloween night in Olney, Maryland in a town house just off Prince Phillip Dr. near Georgia Ave. The neighbor was filled with kids going trick or treat and a child and parent smelled the smoke and called the fire department. The damage, estimated in the range of 200,000. dollars, was mainly confined to the interior of the house due to a sprinkler system which suppressed the fire in advance of the fire fighters arrival. There was also smoke damage to a neighboring house. There were no reporter injuries, other than minor ones to two firefighters.
