91 Camaro RS swapped with LS3. 6.2L, 400c.i., Comp Cam, Lifters, Push Rods, Valve Springs, LS3 Corvette Intake, FAST 90mm Throttle Body, Custom SS Cold Air Intake, Perf Fuel System, Dual Fan Polished Rad, 6spd T56 Tran & Drive Shaft out of '01 TransAm, Posi-Trac Perf Rear End out of IROC, Hooker Headers, Magnaflow Exhaust, Frame Strengthening (to avoid body twisting) and Engine Compartment Modifications to Fit LS3. LS1 was original swap but ended up having bad cylinder (see other videos) so pulled it out and replaced with this one. New video will be posted shortly showing AC add, and lowered stance.

  • the engine is out of an '07 escalade

    cold air intake was custom from Hit Man Hotrods in Cambridge, ON

    they are hooker headers but they had to be modified by Hitman to work due to this being a convertible

    Update:

    -we have just installed MSD coild packs

    -battery is being moved to trunk

    -we are installing FAST 102mm intake and FAST 102mm big mouth throttle

    body

    -we are removing the current cold air intake and have made 4" dia Y this is the reason the battery is moved to trunk

  • what about knock sensor camshaft and crankshaft sensors , did you changed them ?

  • @almarai185 we did upgrade to comp camshaft and crankshafts

  • What about E-testing it did it pass or give you problems?

    In Canada it got ETESTED as a HOT ROD

    The etest place was a kinh of a pain.

    They could tell just by looking it was an Ls engine.

    But they got me to get a letter from local GM dealer to say the car was updated with an LS engine.

    Some garages don't tell U or know about the HOT ROD class.

    It passed with NO problems.

  • @baywatchfan sorry for the late reply, hawksthirdgenparts(dot)com has LS1 swap parts, I dont know why i threw the cross-member in there as that has to do with what kind of tranny you plan to run

  • ok so i have a 1992 camaro RS with the crappy 5.0 TBI engine and i want to do the Ls1 swap can you give me the best place to get that engine and t56 trans and give me a ballpark estimate on how much the whole swap would be?

  • I'm in the middle of this swap now, only I'm using the A6 trans, Where did you get that cold air intake, that is awesome, and which headers did you use for it as well. Are those the Hawks swap headers?

  • very nice car. hate to burst your bubble on the engine size. a 6.6 litre is a 400 cubic inch engine.... unless you stroked it from a 6.2
