Johnnie, a 10 year old female Bull Mastiff and American Staffordshire terrier mix has been a beloved
member of our family since she was a nine week old puppy. Last July 2008, our vet shared with me that Johnnie had bone cancer and only had a few months to live. He even suggested that if she were to continue to suffer we should consider putting her down. That was NEVER an option for our family! She had stopped using her leg except to balance herself when she pottied (and even that looked miserable for her). She lost about 23 pounds and her leg looked completely atrophied. It was just skin on bone with no visible muscle mass at all.
My family and I felt helpless and we were basically just trying to keep her happy until she died. On August 11th I left her with the care of the veterinary clinic and flew out to California to visit a physicist
whom I learned was manufacturing a Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy device. Through my independent research to find alternative care for Johnnie I discovered that PEMF therapy had been used on equines for the past 20 years and that there was clinical research on PEMF therapy for treatment of cancer on humans so I was determined to see if this would help my loyal and beloved family companion.
When I returned from my trip five days later I was eager to get started on treating Johnnie with the
PEMF therapy machine. I began by placing one of the several attachments provided over her leg for three minutes while my wife struggled to help me hold her down because Johnnie would have no part of it. We managed to do this for about nine minutes each night for about the first couple of days with each
day she became more receptive to the magnetic pulses. After just one week of doing this I was on my way to work when my wife called me with excitement in her voice and said oh my god! I let Johnnie out to pee and she is using her leg. I was so excited myself that I could not wait to get home from work that I left early. Sure enough she had been using her leg all day but with a severe limp.
We continued using the PEMF therapy on Johnnie as we witnessed dramatic improvements each day for the entire month. Two months had passed and Johnnie looked great and was barely limping if at all but the most significant thing was most of her muscle mass had returned. It was now October when I was ready to call my vet to share with him how Johnnie had bounced back from the Death sentence he
gave her after only using the PEMF therapy.
I took Johnnie in to see the vet and brought with us the PEMF machine to demonstrate how I applied it to her. I must say that I was shocked to see that the vet was not as impressed as I expected he'd be after witnessing that Johnnie regained 95% of the 23 pounds she had lost; her atrophied leg had regained muscle mass and she appeared to be happy and clearly looking like she was pain free. Clearly a much
different dog than the one he saw back in August when he suggested we ought to put her down!
It is my goal to get the word out on how
beneficial I believe PEMF therapy can be to aid (not replace) the treatment of cancer on small pets.
It is now one year since the vet we've trusted for seven years with Johnnie's care DOOMED her. I no longer apply the PEMF therapy to Johnnie on a daily basis and only use it on her when I think she needs it, about once a month. She is so used to the therapy now I can lay the apparatus on her and walk away. I can tell by her behavior that she is aware that this helps her for every time I use it on myself for pain
management she approaches me and lays by my feet so I can place it on her too.
Im convinced that the PEMF-100 saved Johnnie's life and has provided the quality of life she deserves in
her golden years. It is my goal to educate and inform veterinarians across the country as well as pet owners of the existence of this wonderful technology which has a history of more than 70 years.
Sincerely,
Robert T.

  • lucky dog, indeed, to have such smart& compassionate 'parents' [it would not be surprising if the bad leg was the one that Johnnie had received her vaccination jabs

    - a vet told me that usually the jab site is where a lot of critters get cancer...

  • thank you very much... God bless you and your dog

  • PEMF may also be helpful for genetic renal disease. I doubt it could eliminate it, but it may help to break it down.

  • Dear Robert T.,

Where did you buy the PEMF-100 therapy machine?
