Fred and I head to Yellowstone National Park. We started our hike at the parking lot for Lonestar Geyser and ended at the Bechler Ranger Station. It was amazing!!! We did a total of 40.7 miles.

Went down the Bechler River Trail in late August 2012. We had Mr. Bubbles to ourselves for a few hours, which was nice. If you want an epic hot tub, cut north through the Bechler Meadow and hike to Dunanda Falls.

Mr. Bubbles was way fun. I have heard of Dunanda Falls, I'm putting that on my list for next year. How far in is it from the Bechler Ranger station? Do you have to cross the Bechler to get to it?

Hey blaktee,
That was really nice footage of the geyser and the smaller pools of hot water. Looked like a nice campsite.
Take care, Bluefin

From Bechler Ranger it's about 7 or 8 miles to the north. You have to hike through the meadow so late-July or early-August is your best chance to avoid swamp conditions. No fording if you stay on the meadow trail, which has the suspension footbridge and few smaller footbridges along the trail. Cut west through 9A3 and follow the river up to Dunanda, rather than following the trail. You'll see why when you get there. I would put Union Falls/ScoutPool/Morning Falls on the list as well.
