Mark Whitwell has enjoyed a relationship of more than twenty years with the teachings of T. Krishnamacharya as well as his son T.K.V. Desikachar. Mark was the editor and contributor to T.K.V. Desikachar's book The Heart of Yoga. Since 1978, Mark has traveled throughout America, Australia and New Zealand teaching these timeless principles and techniques with compassion and clarity

  • All good - but the use of capital Y vs. small y is not consistent with the message? The common noun "yoga" denotes any school of religion or philosophy that advocates and prescribes a course of physical or mental discipline for attaining a greater understanding of the body, mind, self et al. Wheras, the proper noun: "Yoga" can only reference a specific approach or conceptualisation of the practice, such as in "Yoga Journal", or "Bikram Yoga".
