my desktop computer is not wifi enabled...should i buy a USB-type Wi-Fi adapter or just let my computer be connected to the router?i'm affraid that having an USB-type Wi-Fi adapter will make the internet slower compered when it is simply connected via cable,i just want wifi for my laptop and my cellphones. what o you guys think?tnx :)
I have a DSL/Wireless Modem! WiFi -N- Plus I purchase an Extension Net Gear as well to help! I am service 2 apartments with my WiFi!! the service is great, both apartments a at least a mile and a half, I can go up to 5 miles with my internet!! Yes this baby is sweet the way I got it set up.
Sorry about the dumb question but...ok.I have a cable internet, the cable comes out of the wall. The problem is I don't have a modem. So can I still have WiFi without a modem. And can I just connect the cable to the WAN port on the router and one RJ45 cable to the computer, and still have WiFi at home?
It is so nice to watch you guys, even I know how to do that stuff I wanted to watch it, found you while looking for videos about HP Touchsmart 600.
Amazing job, Bob and Malou. Some companies should take you as an example how to explain products and procedures.
Love you guys

Good i guess, but long winded the process is so easy usually you do not need any cd, i did not anyway.
I just connected it all up via the RJ leads logged in to the router and configured it from there, piece of cake.
Just don't forget to change the default password on your router to login to it, security, security.

Wait how do you find out your ISP or IP name and pasphrase and what exactly is it and what's it used for and when do you use it?
