@cinna71 Benn was no great, Roberto Duran would have been great in any era, the Ring Magazine rates Duran in the top 5 greatest fighters of all-time..
-
@viglen4 benn fought, eubank twice, iran barkley, doug de witt, gerald mcclellan, steve collins twice, michael watson, let me tell you somethin you can only fight who is around at that time
-
he had true power in his hands
-
How about the Benn who massacred Barkley in 1 round and the one who knocked out Robbie Sims, the only man ever to do so?
Benn was just a green rookie here and was nowhere near his prime while Roberto Duran was a long way past his.
-
Benn was a legend...period.
-
@BoxerSonnyboyWatts he didnt have a shot at joe,it was for the vacant wbo title that steve collins gave up rather than give joe his shot at the title
-
Duran at 5:17 toying with Nigel Benn. No substitute for experience.
-
@viglen4 of course he was... or i doubt he would of had a shot at joe or carl
-
@BoxerSonnyboyWatts Eubank good fighter, but no Great..
Thats true - Duran was the only one who lasted with Hagler for 15 and looked like he could win it. Just look at Duran here; he's not even taking Benn seriously, when Duran could be bothered and trained correctly he was one of the greatest fighters ever - period.

You need to chill out. Nobody who knows anything about boxing would say Duran wasnt an all-time great but your constant attacking of Benn is bizarre and unfair. Benn went to the states and beat DeWitt and Barkley, two solid champions in their own backyard. Then he beat McClellan in a classic at home. For this he deserves some respect.
