Great San Francisco band from the 80's. Lived there that decade to see this band a lot collectively n individually w other groups. Richie's nuts but once he puts his mouth on that horn it's all over. I'm from Manila originally n got to meet Bobby Enriquez several times in NYC before he passed. Don Pullem copped a lot of that way of playing from Bobby. Scott's sounding good here. It's the Vanguard. Possibly one of the greatest jazz bands to come out from the Bay Area.

Anybody of you who have the guts to tear Richie down here, stand up and show you can do even half of this! You have no heart, no ears, no guts, just a big mouth! But yeah, I think only a genius can recognize another genius.... and not be jealous of the other person's great talent. So before you keep on bitching, get yourself a horn and humbly start practicing, then you'll get the message...
Richie is a genius on the alto horn... what else he is in his life, is only his very own responsibility.
