The paddle I use for Stand Up Canoeing is the QuickDraw Kai made by Sawyer Paddles. The QuickDraw is great because you can adjust the length from 63" to 90"...so one size fits all! For deep water/lake conditions I had the paddle at roughly 82". And for the river/whitewater, I shortened it down to 75" or so. Otherwise a standard measurement is 8 to 10" over your standing height for an SUP paddle.

Thanks for the video. Can I ask how long your paddle is? I recently started standing up in my canoe and love it. I am using a short paddle now but am looking to purchasing something longer. It looks like you made your. Thanks !
