Sonic and the Black Knight - The Cauldron Mastery Stage - 10/10 Swings Left

Did you know, it is possible to beat all Mastery stages in SatBK without using a single sword swing?

All you need is your cavalier style high enough that you can use Splash Jump, and a bit of ingenuity, and you can complete them all to get a perfect 29/29 swings left.

The biggest trick is using soul techniques that don't consume slashes. The first, soul surge when no enemy is nearby (speed break basically), can be used to destroy blocks you'ld normally have to slash. The second, soul kick (done by shaking the nunchuck during soul surge), can be used to kill any spiders or will-o-wisps you have to destroy. Those two combined can easily complete the Mastery Stage in Misty Lake and Shrouded Forest.

Now The Cauldron, that is the hard one. In addition to having to use both tricks from before, you need to use splash jump, enemy luring tricks, back steps, rapid homing attacks, and lots of dodging. The middle section specifically, where you must soul kick the four spiders, can really be brutal. This video is the best I can do in helping anyone who undertakes this challenge.

Note that as of now, Sonic is the only one who can do the 29/29 challenge due to being the only one with Splash jump. However, I'm about 80% sure Blaze can also do this mission, although it would be a bit harder. Shadow I'd say has about a 40% chance of being able to do this. Knuckles...well we'll see if anybody gets him past the first wall without a homing attack.

It is splash jump, and you get it by leveling up Cavalier style enough.

It's decently fun, not as good as SSR. Not one of the better sonic games, but decent.

I prefer using Lancelot (Shadow) with his ultimate weapon, it makes him use Chaos Blast, but it counts as a sword swing. The awesome part is that it destroys every enemy in the range.

Ah, I see. Admittedly, SatSR is a great game so it's hard to compete with it. :P
