    Fuel cells are some ways off - again or still. As for capacitors? Who knows. EEstor seemed to have it figured out and now we've not heard from them in a while.

    I would say a fuel cell is better for large stationary installations. And the car companies are a bit too stuck in their way of doing things. Also, since their design process is so long, they're vulnerable to smaller, nimber companies

    Shai is a smart guy- but I think everyone is lacking real foresight here. Automakers care about cost to mass. The end game for EVs is not plug in battery cars - but an integration of batteries - fuel cells and capacitors. Cut through all the hype - and take a long term view- it is 'fuels' that matter. It's hard to imagine fuels being taken out of the transportation market - or energy companies being out innovated by utilities and fixed infrastructure.
