Flock of Dodos DVD Extras, "Pulled Punches"

"Flock of Dodos: the Evolution-Intelligent Design Circus" will be released on DVD August 28th. Along with the movie will be over 75 minutes of DVD extras. This sneak preview of one of those extras, "Pulled Punches", is a compilation of powerful and at times controversial material not included in the movie. Flock of Dodos has been praised by Conservative Christians and Evolutionary Scientists alike for its even-handed, enlightening, and at times hilarious look at the issue of teaching evolution in schools. Watch Flock of Dodos on Showtime starting May 17th, 2007.

Evolution isn't a religion. That's like saying plate tectonics is a religion. I'm a Quaker and also an evolutionary biologist, and you are right that evolution makes no claims about the origin of life. It only pertains to changes of life through time. Why would you expect an evolution proponent to answer a question that is outside the realms of evolution?

@MustelaFuro_Sadly evolution is not put into perspective like you described. This is done by both sides of the debate. Things change and adapt over time due to environment. Including man. Everything is still evolving right now as we speak. As far as God is concerned, I feel religion has misunderstood him. Why would an all knowing God place a finished product that’s incapable of adaptation on a ever changing planet? I believe the creator designed his creation to adapt.

hahah people try to talk like smart just to say Darwin is right, but till today wasn't proved that's true, and most people don`t even read Darwin books, and they talk about like they know everything. to Darwin be right many things that make the today's science need to be wrong like thermodynamics or catastrophism, and those things are already proved to be true so sorry guys but go read a Darwin book before talk about or even talk to me ok.
