  • I have one of the original bubble things before they were made by Klutz. I am soooo tempted to buy one of the larger size bubble makers. But we have so much fun with ours. My kids are teenagers now and they still love popping the huge bubbles I make in the street. (and skidding through the soapy mess on the ground afterward)

  • @fprintf

Amazing! That means your Bubble Thing has been functioning for almost a quarter century! Hang onto it, because soon it will be officially an antique! DS

  • Does anyone know where I can buy one of these in Australia either online or in Brisbane at a toy store? I've checked a few stores but they never seem to have them. They are way too expensive to buy online from overseas with the postage.

  • Hi Lill,

Yes, the postage has gotten impossible. I suggest you make your own Bubble Thing. Braid three strands of cotton string

together for the loop. Support it on two dowels. This is the design used by many professional bubble people. DS

  • Hi David, I bought your bubblething (kluster books) and I had have some fun with my kids. Now I realized that you have a new recipe with baking powder. I prepared it yesterday but today all the baking powder is on the bootom of the bucket. What can I do? (I coul not find Down in my country, so I changed it for Ivory Classic). Regards from Colombia, South America

    Catalina

  • Hi Catalina,

Yes, baking powder contains cornstarch, some of which will settle out. (That's why I recommend stirring occasionally.) It shouldn't hurt the performance though. How did the bubbling go? Is Ivory widely available in Colombia? And in

other countries around? Please let me know. DS
