Atheist and Oxford professor Dr. Peter Atkins (a chemist) debates theist and also Oxford professor Dr. John Lennox (a mathematician and philosopher) on God, science, and atheism. Dr. Atkins gives an emotional, arrogant, and bigoted presentation, while Dr. Lennox responds rationally and analytically. Dr. Lennox has soundly defeated atheist Richard Dawkins in three debates, and was voted a winner against his debate with Christopher Hitchens. Now watch as he defeats Dr. Atkins!

  • It seems to me that professor Lennox says a bit too much it seems to me :)

  • all my respectful Atheists,

i am a rustic man with some clear-cut rationale? in mind? .with the grace of ALLAH i catch up things so quickly, specially the irrational part of something .i humbly say i have forte to rebut your Atheism. i have a short video (2 min) for you , a challenge based .

also, don't forget to watch my 2 hours long video on subject of Atheism in your leisure.

    /watch?v=wpwbQAWt30E (2 min)

    /watch?v=czr8QqPLzgA ( 2 hrs )

don't call me names if i disillusion you from Atheism.

  • Atheism's would be reaction to an evidence would be merely that the evidence can be explained by science thus does not mean God exists. What if science is but a tool, a process. How difficult is it to conceptualize that there is an intelligence behind the tool? Lack of evidence... What if science is the evidence itself? Science can explain everything... Yes, perhaps it does but does it mean that there is no room for God?

  • Is the foundation of atheism built on the absence of evidence of God's existence? Or merely the otherwise interpretation of an evidence that points to God's existence?

  • Galileo was jailed for over 30 years because of religious BS. So don't talk about Galileo you heretic.

  • By the way.... Lennox lets it drop that he thinks that he's personally going to meet the creator of the universe after he kicks the bucket. LOL!!!!!! Hilarious. He's full of theological delusions of grandeur. Lennox you are a mammalian primate half a chromosome away from a chimpanzee. Get over it.

  • Atkins has a wonderful wry wit.... he's fantastic. Lennox just pulls out all the long list of logical fallacies. "I can't imagine how it could happen naturally" Argument from personal incredulity. "Science doesn't yet fully explain the origin of life therefore God did it" Argument from ignorance / God of the gaps. "Why is there something rather than nothing? Therefore God exists" Argument from ignorance again. "I want to live for ever so God exists" Argument from final consequences. All invalid.

  • If this life is it and there is nothing to hold you accountable then logically you are right that you should want to have as much fun as possible. Unfortunately I don't think your happy go lucky view of man is realistic. Some people with that worldview become depressed while others do become gluttons for pleasure which leads to immorality. And yes some maintain this worldview and inconsistently live a decent life(according to society). Though you have no foundation for universal morality.

  • @armanduk2010 What's with the venom my friend?

  • @ambassadorinchainz The first part of your comment does not dignify a response. Get some more straw and maybe it will at least resemble my position.

I think it does and I told you why. If you think this is the only life you have and you think that this makes it meaningful and would like to enjoy, you would be upset be people running around saying that this is just the shit stop on the way to the good stuff and convincing other to live as if this were true. Repeating yourself isn't helpful
