US Soldiers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team work with Afghan security forces to inform and protect the children of Wardak Province. Senior Airman Chris Pyles reports.
I only wished that we had simply armed the Afghan army to accomplish this task, and not place our young soldiers at risk. We should also consider the staggering costs to the taxpayers for sustaining this costly endeavor.
Playing the part of the world's social workers isn't cheap.
