Test driving the Chevy Volt in Vancouver. Three Chevy Volts are in Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics. As a member of the Vancover Electric Vehicle Association I got to drive one. It's peppy. Lots of smarts, too. But costs too much @ the predicted $40K or more. Otherwise, great car.

  • @vistarox you can buy an awefully lot of gas for the $20,000+ more that this costs compared to a regular car. by the time you make up for it, the battery probably has to be replaced and you're adding expense right back on.

  • Initially the Volt is expensive but overtime it saves money because it costs less to operate.

  • @llk310 Genius; some of us must drive more than 45 miles per trip, hence the gas engine.

  • so, could u get a monster battery in there and get like 200+ hp outa this thing? lmao

  • @Joseph9536 thank you, they should explain that

  • @ericpinter29 It's the same.

  • @85funnyguy no. Only on electricity. there is a gas engine that only recharges the battery but does not affect the wheels.

  • @fivebythree 41 grand a piece will kills it for me

  • can the volt run on gas and electricity

  • its an ok car, give me a car while does NOT have to go to a GAS station for GAS.....like Tesla
