You are the idiot you have know idea what you are talking about. "Black" is a stupid word used by Americans describing anyone of darker complexion of SSA. If your dad is not the 1% of the white CV, than in the U.S. and the West he is condiderd black.

if you compare CV to other former colonies(DR) as far as accepting our African heritage we are light years ahead. The new generation of CV know we are African and embrace it. You see it in our music, our dress, and our ideas. We are aware we have admixture from other races, but we are proud to be African.
If you look at former colonies even in West Africa there are all kinds of issues surrounding race e.g skin bleaching, weaves etc. All of these issues will eventually resolve with time.

um sorry to burst your bubble but unlesss he is a white capeveridian he is most likeley black, my great great grandad is portuguese and thats on my nigerian/Sierra leonian side. However that does not make me or the family memebers not black. FULL CAPEVERDIAN? hmm interesting. Because Capeverdian is a nationality not a race, thats like saying full American, well americans can be any race and be FULL american. Cape verde is african and over 90% black, you should be proud that doesnt make you less

my dad is derived from the Portuguese portion that makes up Cape Verde. Cape Verde is in the majority mixed-race-Portuguese people.

Let me correct you "black" does not constitute race. "black" was created by the west to lump every person of SSA in one group. When a cape verdean says they are full CV they are talking about ethnic group . Just like you in Nigeria you ask someone if they are igbo or fulani etc not what color they are.
African need to stop simplyfing themselves down to an FN color. We are the most diverse in the world. How can a zulu and igbo be simplified to a color?

Thank you. So many black-latinos, mullatos and passers will not admit they are black.
