Black Metal from the UK.
Embalmed was formed around 1991 by vocalist Grimfrost. He recruited guitarist Geburah and drummer Amaethon. Several bassists came and went due to incompatibility problems with the other members of the band, or sheer inability to play! Embalmed had to rely on session bassists for live shows. The band started out playing Death Metal but changed their style to Black Metal around 1993 as had several of the more well known Norwegian bands. Known as Mystical Dark Metal, the band continued to refine their style and worked on more darker songs. Embalmed played several local shows over the next couple of years and continued to rehearse new songs for their upcoming recording. In November 1994 the band entered the studio to record "Raging Torrents of Endless Darkness" This was a grim slice of Black Metal which went down well with all who heard it. The demo was sent to several record companies but unfortunately without success. The band played in London at The Devils Church early in 1995, but this turned out to be their last gig. Their rehearsal place refused to let them play any more and no other suitable place could be found.

@xxxxcofxxxx If the music is reaching more people, then I am pleased you have posted it. I forgot to mention that the drop-out at 4:13 is on the original master tape that I have. Unfortunately the studio where we recorded has closed and their DAT of the session has gone too. I have a lot of archive material on tape and video which people want me to release, so maybe next year. A new project is in the works too... Thanks for your interest and support. GF

Very surprised to find this on here, the only place I have uploaded it to is MySpace, but those three tracks seem to spreading across the net, even though they are not the original demo! Lake of Ice was one of the earliest songs we wrote and had changed in structure a few times. Geburah's guitar solo didn't have the digital delay in the final version as we felt it didn't really work well. A very limited release of the album is still a possibility. Grimfrost
