Definitely my favorite. Originated as Warriors Films Co, the trio - Raymond Wong, Karl Maka and Dean Shek - made Cinema City probably the most successful independent film company in the 80s, challenging local studios like Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest. Attempts of reviving CC after its demise in early 90s weren't successful, leaving only some spin-offs like Cinema City Enterprises / Cinema Capital Entertainment (by Karl Maka) and Cinema City Entertainment (by Dean Shek). Raymond Wong is literally the last man standing among the trio, with his Mandarin Films still active in the industry.

  • Question: What movie is the Cinema City and Films Company (not the company limited) from? Looked like its the first logo to come with before the most popular one.

  • I guess Cinema City switch to its "red and gold" ident in around 1986, at least first seen from "A Better Tomorrow" which was released that year. (Please correct me if I'm wrong) The CCFC ident was often seen in the studio's less known films, this one from a slasher flick "Heartbeat 100" (1987).

  • I love most all of these jingles. That last one isn't half depressing though!

  • To me, the last ident already lost the essence of Cinema City...

  • Can someone please tell me where this "Cinema Capital Entertainments Ltd. Release/Cinema City Enterprises Ltd. Productions" opening intro comes from??

  • It's from "Undeclared War" starring Danny Lee and directed by Ringo Lam.

  • The last one looks like it's been ripped off or predated.

  • gameshowguy2000, you made me very interested in the Rainbow logo, mind to show us?

  • And the first part of that jingle from the Rainbow Audio & Video Incorporation logo (as the R is being drawn) is the last part of the Golden Harvest Jingle.
