This tutorial shows how to calculate moles and molar mass. I was in a really funny conversation with a teacher about this on 30/4/08.

"Hey [name removed]! Why do people think molarity is so hard?"
"Because they're loosers! I don't really know, molarity's not that hard of a subject, it's just people have trouble grasping it."

Anyways, it took a long time to make this video, so please be nice about it.

  • This actually really helped me understand this a lot better... I even took notes! One thing I am really having trouble with is how to find the grams of solute in a soluting and what not... think you could help out? Thank you! ^.^

  • Sure, I can do that if you'd like! Just to make sure before I embark on it, you're referring to Molarity / Molar Concentration, right? And would you like a written explanation, or a video :3

  • I take notes on what I watch, so It really doesn't matter to me. Whatever is easier for you to do. And yes, the Molar concentration is what I am referring to. We're also doing salution/solute stuff in chem as well... ^.^'' Thank you!

  • Okay, I'll make that over the weekend; I'm inundated with work atm x_x

  • how u will memorize the formula faster? including the molarity, molality, and normality.. its very confusing.. especially when u don't have copy of formula and copy of solution..

    pls.. answer my question!!

  • The atomic number multiplied by Avogadro's Constant is the number of grams. This means that one mole of hydrogen (atomic mass of one) will weigh one gram. Avagadro's constant says that it takes 6.02214 times 10 to the 23rd power (6.02214x10^24) atoms to turn the atomic number into grams. Your question wasn't very specific, and your English wasn't that good so I'm not sure if that's what you were asking, but I hope I answered your question.
