An excerpt from a rarely performed one-act play by Tennessee Williams called The Strangest Kind of Romance. This is early Tennessee, circa 1942 and pre- Glass Menagerie, when he had yet to decide that political drama wasn't really his bag. The Old Man is almost a Clifford Odets character. Adapted from a short story called The Malediction. This was part of a 2007 T. Williams show by Scaramouche Theatre, Toronto called Menage of 3 by Tennessee. Upstairs from the Rhino Bar on Queen West. When I'm not writing and singing music, I do this. Some major influences: O'Toole, Richardson, Brando, Olivier, Cagney, Hopkins, and John Barrymore.

A fine, worthwhile and professional performance. Not a second wasted. Not a word lost. Well done, IMHO. I was ...transfixed!

Wow! What a voice and presence. I was transfixed.
Maybe it was RW's fine words or Mr Simms amazing performance. Loved it!

I have just finished reading this 'The Strangest Kind of Romance' and I really enjoyed it. I appreciate that you took the time to do this though I didn't quite hear it the same way in my mind.
