What started as a quick little video on two steps in my Threadknits project (http://www.threadknits.com) has become something greater! I loved the "time elapse" idea, so I set up the camera to film me as I put the blossoms on the deer to finish off the whole project.
If you don't already know, Threadknits is a competition sponsored in part by Threadless(http://www.threadless.com). Like Threadcakes (http://www.threadcakes.com). , participants knit (or crochet) an entry inspired by one of the Threadless designs. I chose "Blooming' by TJ Zhang. This video shows how I made the needle-felted blossoms on the deer itself, and then how I knit and assembled the petals for the cherry blossoms for the antlers/branches.

The music is February from Tchaikovskys Opus 37b, performed by Alfonso Bertazzi and Frühlingsrauschen (Rustle of Spring) by Christian Sinding performed by Knut Erik Jensen.
