  • I was raised with my mum and aunt constanly singing this ^-" It's a lot more vigorous when German women sing it, I'll tell you for free xD

  • Back about thirty years ago a speciality butcher - mostly sausages - opened in Atlanta's Cumberland Mall.

    It was named "Mr Dunderback's"...

  • @paintymousy she was sleepwalking, remember?

OH my gosh I listened to this song wayyyy too much when I was little--my dad sang it to me all the time---and now I've taught my 3-year-old this song.He sings it at KFC teehee

  • i blame Krystal for getting me addicted to this song and will now sing it to her to remind her. lol

  • This song has been haunting me for over 40 years now...rattling around inside my head at the most unexpected of times. Of course I had some of the lyrics missing and wrong and my mind had filled in the gaps with lyrics of it's own so I finally decided to Google it and there it was. Still safe and now I know the real lyrics. The ultimate earworm.

  • it's because in most version's "his wife was having a nightmare/she was walking in her sleep/she cave the crank a heck of a yank, and dunderbeck was meat" which removes the conscious thought process of it

  • i do.................

  • Love it! My dad use to sing this to me all the time, now i sing it to my kids ^.^

  • The problem with this version is it doesn't explain WHY she grabbed the crank, and yanked it. People don't just turn on giant sausage makers for no reason. XD

  • Actually, there's so many different versions of the song. I've heard almost all of them. There's so many variants of the solo part.

The this is the one I heard from my great grandmother from a long time ago.

However, I remember it a different way better.
