This is just PART of a couple of sessions with my buddy Mikey Gaudet's band on a drunken Friday night in Concessions, one of the villages comprising Clare, NS, on the beautiful Southwest Shore of Nova Scotia, "la nouvelle Acadie".....
This is a retake of the Viking Pirate Song already in my youtube channel, from February '08. "Hvor du gaar? Hvor har du køm?" (where are you going, from where have you come?) is about a young viking who sets out on his own, and ranges far and wide, parties with the sasquatch, does mushrooms and peyote with the Anasazi, becomes a blood-drinking god in Mexico, and ventures home finally, raiding Spain in the process, comes home with a bunch of gold and some crazy stories, and wishes he were still in the Wildest West......this is my first time doing it with a band, and solo it's gotten a lot crazier/rockier and the beats more complex; here it turns into a blues strut by the end....and went on for a while longer after my volunteer cameraman thought I was done.....the opening vocal is someone else, something in French about women, I think. can't quite hear it clearly......the Norwegian is only half-baked and half-breed dialect (i.e. I'm not full blood, nor a native speaker, and am "winging it")..
Lead guitar: Jason Saulnier
Drums: Mark Nickerson ("Webb") & Mikey Gaudet
