Sorry for the late reply. I use a stippling effect to create texture, which is then lightly drybrushed using a circular stabbing motion using a soft bristled brush.

it can be done but can also be dangerous. I will show soon an easy way to make those curved bunkers. Like the one you tried to make from the toilet roll, not using a toilet roll though. For your scale they work perfect, but for 28mm are too small.

man, if you collect everything your family uses in a week you will have loads of stuff to build from. I collected the packaging from everything i bought/ate in a week, unfortunately the stupid cleaners chucked it all out before I could film a quick video about what I was going to do with it!
