Quincy Jones composed a cool bossa nova theme for Sidney Lumet's film version of John Le Carre's spy tale The Deadly Affair.

  • Who played the sax on that film score???????

  • When I was 14 years old this was one of my favorite albums. It was one of my first exposures to bossa nova rythyms and I thought that the sax playing on the album was off the hook...smooth like stan getz. Check out the reprise of the theme and the song Who Needs Forever sung by Astrud Gilberto

  • Really cool and goes with the images perfectly.

  • I caught this film on BBC2 years ago, and was glad that I had recorded it-the theme is great! I thought it may have been on the double cd release "The many faces of Quincy Jones" but it wasnt....thanks for posting this.
