@neoconsnightmare3 its not about downgrading anyone. It's about acknowledging what's seen, calling it out and hoping a change will be made. I've listened to alot of his spoken word and plan to buy his book in a few minutes here, and I don't believe his poetry is about trying to appeal to women and dog out any race or sex. It's about what he sees and feels and wants to share. My two cents!
@VXecutioner not a waste at all to me...and TO ME that's all that matters. if its a 'waste' TO YOU that i care not to hear his poetry, that's regrettable. i shan't change.
i never said i could DENY what he claims to have seen; i simply asked why can't he be even handed and talk about the black WOMAN screw ups as well as the black MAN screw ups?
he doesnt have to respond, and since he hasn't, one can only presume he's quite comfortable with his position.
@neoconsnightmare3 Such a waste. I wasn't suggesting he "dogs" out males & females equally or anyone. I was suggesting that you listen to more of his poetry. You're really missing the bigger picture in who he is and what he represents.
On a different scale; You can't deny what a has seen/lived even if it isn't what your ideology"may agree with. If he seen men being "dogs" then he can speak on it at the very same time he speaks on men being "men".
@neoconsnightmare3 Don't do Taalam like that after having listening to maybe only one or two of his poems... That's face value lies on ones character... Listen to an entire CD better yet listen to two or read a book of his or a few...

The 2 people that disliked this poem were probably deadbeat fathers, but there are deadbeat mothers as well.

@kissz4u2njoy we have a right to our opinion. i respect what you feel he's saying, and i can't argue your opinion.
i simply listened to THIS and from what i took away from it was his pandering to insecure black women.
i may be wrong, but that's what i took away from this sampling of his poetry.

@VXecutioner i wont waste time or money on anything that guy puts out. HE dogged black men in an atttempt to kiss up to black women.
if he ALSO dogged out black women on that level, then someone needs to post it.
in the end, all the 'poetry' in the world won't change INDIVIDUAL screw ups, black or white, male or female.
