Suit yourself. But I can tell you this: Enjoy this audio clip of the Royals 1985 WS Championship as much as you want, because this is the closest your beloved Royals will ever get to playing in the post season again, let alone winning a WS title.

@rayjr62 Yeah, Denkinger blew the call in game 7, too. You know, the one where the Royals won 11-0.
Lets not forget the blown call in game 6 where White was called out at second base. A single would soon follow, 2 pitches later.
Nice try though.

@elludt I have. Denkinger blew the call. And the Royals were given that series. And I am not a Cards fan, either. Truth be told, I always thought the 1980 Royals team was better. And the year they won that WS the Royals had the highest payroll in baseball. So, enjoy continuing to this audio clip, because as long as David Glass (a.k.a. "Mr. Wal Mart") remains as the owner and CEO, it is highly unlikely your beloved Royals will ever play in another WS again.

@discolando sorry Discolando, my comments were directed at rayjr62, who seems to need some rest and enjoy the 2011 WS and get over a loss his team earned.

@rayjr62 Read my previous entries and maybe you'll learn something. Then again, maybe you won't.

@ynguns2 Here's the last zinger: The Cards were up 2 games to none, returning home to St Lou for games 3 and 4 and game 5 (if necessary). Up 2 games to none the Cards coughed up 2 games in 3 nights at home, sending the series back to KC. I like the Cards, don't like their arrogant fans who think they know the game so much better than everyone else.

@ynguns2 BTW: since when is a World series decided by a runner who never scored? Not only that, he would have represented only the tying run, not the winning run in a game taht was not a 7th final and deciding game? Who's fault was it to save the human train wreck, Juaquin Andujar, to pitch game 7 against the AL Cy Young award winner that year? Maybe Herzog understood what Cards fans still fail to grasp; had they lost game 6 they still had their ace saved for game 7!

@ynguns2 ...when the cards pushed across a run in the 8th. The Royals outhit the cards in 6 of the 7 games. That series was close. Good Cards defense kept the Royals from scoring many times as they consistently outhit and outpitched the Cards. Had the Royals gone to their bullpen up 3-0 in the 8th in game 3 instead of stiking w/ their starter too long it wouldn't even be an issue. The Royals probably take the Cards in 6.

@ynguns2 Watch the whole game and you'll find the Royals got screwed twice. Frank Whiet was called out at 2nd when he was really safe, And Brett was called out on strikes on a ball out of the strike zone. had the cards won that series it would have been the 1st and only time in history a team has won a World Series hitting below .200. Do your own research and you will find I'm right. The Royals had 4 or 5 hits in game 6 before the Cards had their 1st. They outhit the Cards 6-2...

@ynguns2 Nice revisionist history. I was at that game. Orta was out, but it was a bang-bang play. Your pitcher uncorked a wild pitch in that inning, Clark and Porter allowed a pop foul in front of the Royals dugout to drop harmlessly, there was an intentional walk and your outfield played too deep allowing Sundberg to score the winning run. Orta, the guy called safe at 1st. he was forced at 3rd when Ozzie went to 3rd on a ground ball in the hole! Look it up genius Orta never scored!
