Thanks Christopher!!! Tis the season around here!!! Owe it to my lucky stick today, forgot my ski pole, "walking stick" for me, had to grab a branch from a lone tree!!

  • It seems like its easier to find points and relics in ditches and creeks north of georgia and west of here. all thats in the creeks here are sand and clay

  • @13chase131 Creeks are tough out here too!! Man made ditches sometimes cut right through old camps, thank goodness!!!

  • You had a good day.

  • That was an AWESOME obsidian point! Cool finds on everything else as well, keep lookin.

  • @greatbasinman Yeah that is smart to go look in ditches like that. i might see if i can find a ditch like that near a river or creek, might have some luck doing that.

  • Man that black obsidian is awesome! We dont have that material here. I'm jealous! What is that big round stone? A metate? It is cool whatever it is and one huge artifact!. I bet a lot of people (including me) would have walked right by it. Thanks for posting nice hunting spot for sure. HH LT

  • @greatbasinman Yup, pretty much on the weather bit, but I might find a ridgeline or two exposed by wind, or a creek with stretches without ice. Pretty scarce though. Spend most of my days this time of year dreaming of how to get back to the desert. :)

  • @texasartifacts Thanks!! Those ditches can be tough walking!!
