@TheUrbab I admit some mistakes has been made, several big empires forgotten, but this is not a vid i used weeks of research to make, and certainly, most of the countries you stated above have never been very big, i did not bother using weeks putting in every state in the whole world, like small dots on the map.

No Chinese empire? Seriously? They are the one that keeps the Mongols at bay. Japanese empire the main actor of pacific war, annexed most of Eastern Asia at its peak.

@milkmn00 @milkmn That's what I meant; notice I used plural Roman/ Greek Empire(s). All I meant is that in antiquity most Empires were around the middle eastern area and it took Europe along time to mature enough to establish the colonial empires in the middle ages.

@DenizenOD europe had lots of empires. Ancient Greek for one. Rome split into Holy Roman Empire (germanic), and Byzantine Empire, conquered by Ottoman (some count turks as european). Also there were empires of England/Britain, Spain, France, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Poland-lithuania, Austria-hungary, Prussia/Germany, and Italy.
