I had to laugh when she was talking about instruments playing all over & her tuning the noise out. 3 years ago, I lived with this family who has 4 kids (I rented out from them for a time) and the kids are now 17 1/2, 16, 14, & 13 yrs old. Their dad teaches band at the college I attended, & each of their kids play piano, violin & 1-2 more instruments of their choice (flute, trumpet, trombone, cello, viola). There's ALWAYS practicing happening and the mom says she doesn't even hear it anymore!

If I had 19 kids I wouldn't have time to do all the interviews and appearances they do, give me a break. Hopefully this show goes the direction of Job & Kate plus Eight and just disappear !!

@skyeofthestorm She did not say that college is not important. If you watch the show they are preparing some of the older kids for college. Not everyone wants or should go to college. How many college "play" college and nothing but debt to show for it.

Unfortunate that they don't see the importance of sending all these young people to college. "College age" kids should be at college, not hanging around the house doing chores and taking care of the little ones.
