@L1701 Sometimes I think I'm watching Mr. Perfect when I see Dolph wrestle. Dolph still has a long way to go, but his method of selling is almost identical to Curt's.

Truly one of the greatest wrestling personas. They took a shot in the dark and, in my opinion, in an attempt to embarrass the Rhodes family even more, the most intriguing of any wrestling persona was born.
This is the rarest of gimmicks in that Dustin took yet another off beat wrestling gimmick and actually took it seriously. Goldust in these days was not unlike Heath Ledger's Joker.

Goldust is just insane when you think thats Dusty Rhodes Jr. It's like he probably had a really badass origins story.
-
@redskins3656 They turned him back in 2010 & 2012. No stottering anymore and appearances as "Dustin Rhodes" make him a serious competitor again.

Salute.

They ruined his storyline, they frickin turned him into a joke.

I remember watching these vignettes and thinking ive never seen anything like this guy. It was so creepy.
-
I see where you are coming form with the Marilyn manson thing strangely enough. A gold marilyn manson? Interesting.
-
@FrozenIce1097 Daniel Bryan doesn't use a gimmick. He got over thanks to his skills and the credibility he built up in the indies. And as for Dolph Ziggler, I think he'd benefit more from studying the late Mr. Perfect.

@jakamneziak Personally, this one anyway, I see Marilyn Manson, but yeah...
Goldust is amazing. He always will be. Has Undertaker and Goldust ever fought? That would've been awesome. Two larger than life characters, of course only one took off and is considered legendary by everyone, and the other is forgotten within the fabric of WWE's long, illustrious history.

@LordKalbert they feuded throughout the middle of 1996 having 3 matches at the In Your House PPVs. The one that sticks out the most is the casket match at 'IYH 8: Beware of Dog' you should check it out! Definitely two of the best characters to come out of WWF/E

'you see, gold shits no darkness look at it. gold only shits light!'
can't beleive this character was introduced as early as 95. i always look at wrestling and dates oddly. like 95, well hogan and his era made their last appearance like 93' and it's shocking to think dustin's character was so close to the cartoon era of wwf.
