A compilation of video clips shot by students and instructors in some of our Israeli Special Ops instinctive pistol and tactical carbine courses. Shot with a variety of different cameras, some sound and video quality is poor, but this video demonstrates instructors teaching and students learning, making mistakes, and improving as they gain skill and confidence.

Mako Defense training courses are open to the public and are held in various locations around the United States. Closed courses are available to military and law enforcement agencies, and can be scheduled by request.

Courses include Krav Maga (unarmed hand-to-hand defense), safety, shooting skill, and tactical decision-making. The Israeli Method is uniquely suited to be used by an individual or a team of any size, and is perfect both for self-defense and military and law enforcement use.

Join us in a course and bring your skill and confidence to the highest level!

  • What does the IDF think about the effectiveness of 5.56mm?

  • @saari09 The 5.56 is actually a pretty effective cartridge. Some people think otherwise, but the effectiveness has been proven, especially with some of the ammunition currently available.

  • The Israeli Yamam counter-terror/HRT team again won the Urban Shield (2011) competition in CA against some for the best US police and federal SWAT teams, FBI, special military teams, and several international teams. This is considered the most realistic SWAT/counter-terror test in the world. Last year, their first year competing, they also won, establishing records for the highest scores. Two of our instructors are from Yamam. Yamam uses the methods we teach in our courses.

  • What kind of ammo works best on a IED?

  • @JennaHaze2000 You mean to detonate it from a distance?

  • do you guys advocate moving before reloading or was that just a mistake of the operator? i saw it several times. I would think it better not to enter a room with an empty gun like the end of the vid...or to give up your position from a barrier before having your gun loaded. In either case, i got some good ideas for our next training session. Thanks!

  • @CPLBSS88 These clips are of students in training - did you notice that one student had to be reminded to charge his weapon after he opened a door? As far as reloading, we teach to either reload from cover, or while moving. So instead of reloading and then moving toward the threat, we move toward the threat or toward cover or at least to the side while reloading. We teach to always check the chamber before moving so you don't move and then find out that you have a jam or an empty weapon.

  • where is the shooting place in israel, is this dani hi??

  • wow, ive done something JUST like this, it was the same idea, we got taught by special forces officers in israel. We learned how to shoot a bunch of guns, threw grenades, learned krav maga, and even went skydiving. It was really awesome, i would definitely suggest going on one of these trips. The company i went with was called lionops

  • @erdogan1turkey Actually, in the United State's citizen point of view, Israeli special forces have helped us right after 9/11 in building defense BECAUSE they have had to deal with it all of their lives.
