it does not on the older games but the new ones with the star gauge not star power but he yellow star gauge like there is on Guitar hero Metallica and Smash Hits.. I know for sure it works on Metallica but not sure on Smash hits... it says it does on one of the tips in metallica when it load the song

Hiya, I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing here. I'm just saying that whammying in general does not give you more points in regular gameplay. If you're talking about whammying giving you more star power, then that has always been the case with every GH game. Meaning, that on a sustained SP note, whammying will increase the amount of star power you accrue.

Well not not star power.. Points.. on GH Metallica I know for sure it gives you more points but all the other games I don't think so, the only other one that could be a possibility is GH SH

With all due respect, I'm going to need some proof if you know for sure that it gives you more points in GH:M, because I've pathed lots of songs and that's never been a consideration. I think a lot of the guys over at Scorehero would claim this a false statement as well.

It says that it does in those tips that come up at the bottom of the screen, but I have never tried to see if it was true, until a few weeks ago.. I need the game to prove it I had rented it and I no longer have it, but want to buy it

I remember the comment that said to use a combination of Tap Wah and Whammy to get the most cash....that's true. However, it has nothing to do with how many points you get.
