i own a 09 R1, even knowing our bike makes less HP
the HP number doesn't really matters that much , what matters is " how the bike apply-delivers the power " and that is what the 09 R1 is so good at, it delivers power like no other bike i have ever ridden before.
as for the magazines US mags bash the new R1 all over , in the other hand Euro magazines are amazed w/ that same bike.
Myself i read all my bike magazines (4) and I take it as a point of view instead of " the only truth ".
