Even after two seasons off before signing with the Tulsa Shock to become the league's second active player at 40 years of age or older, little needs to be said when the name Sheryl Swoopes is mentioned.
Part of the alliterative Big Three with Cynthia Cooper and Tina Thompson in the Houston Comets dynasty, Swoopes would become the league's only three-time regular season MVP, also earning three Defensive Player of the Year Awards while in Houston. For good measure, she added three Olympic gold medals to her resumé in 1996, 2000 and 2004.
Returning this season with Tulsa to guide a young core of players, Swoopes talks with Mike Peden about the WNBA's 15th season and her effort to lead the next generation of players.
