If you have have disliked this video, chances are you have never mixed music or you only have experience engineering one specific genre. I don't mind if you don't care for the music, but the production is quite beautiful. You know, I hate the shit out of Kesha, but her producer busted his ass to make a dirty crackwhore sound listenable.
This is some pretty good hardcore done VERY well.

@coldthrn You couldn't have gotten a better vocal either way. The 7b emphasizes that big compression, but your choice of the TLM, given your settings was a much better choice. WAY more low end and definition. I think this might be the first time I've ever voted against the 7B. But again, it could be your settings. I own both, and for any strong vox I go with the Shure. Well done regardless.

Great job compressing here man. What preamps do you use and what's your input hardware?
How did this match up against the SM7? I'm an SM7 man all the way, but this track sounds pretty killer.
