SNES roms Running on a Nintendo DS

Apologies for the Quality but this was filmed using my canon powershot digital camera.

What i used in this vid was the following...

+ a 4 gig micro SDHC card (seen in a USB transflash adaptor at first)
+ an R4 Revolution Nintendo DS cartride & micro SD adaptor/OS
+ My Skinned Nintendo DS which hs succumbed to the ravages of spending lots of time compressed in my Laptop bag due to the amount of travelling I do, thankfully the innards still work :P

The ROMS used in this vid were (in order) :

+ Super mario allstars (running super mario 3)
+ Castlevania 4
+ Super Mario world

So Mucho thanks to aceman for posting that :), at the time of filming and writing I have not installed the other emulators Aceman mentions

also I Bought an R4 revolution cartridge from amazon for around £10 and it included a transflash adaptor. I searched amazon recently and the price went up to £21. I'm sure it can be found cheaper elsewhere.

wow dats pretty cool. does the snes roms work with r4 III upgrade too? because i have dat one but im not sure if its gona work or not

I'm not too sure what the upgrade is. I'm assuming mine is the latest R4, I only got it 3 or 4 months ago and it does support MicroSDHC (that's a 4 gig card used in the vid) however I've since discovered a couple of niggles since filming. The Aspect ratio's off and doesn't display parts of the top & bottom, it just displays a grey screen in starfox, and it won't let me choose any options in contra :(

owning an R4 card isnt illigal, what is illigal is using ROMs and Emulators. For example:

Using an R4 device to play music that you own and bought on the Nintendo DS is not illigal, but downloading, say, Super Metroid as a ROM, is illigal.

@UncensoredRhett Although thats what most people think, but It is illegal to own an R4 or any other modchip for Nintendo. You can even check it out on their official website.

there was also one for genesis and tg-16/pc engine,and there are also emulatros for those systems for the ds,but if you want a better snes emulator then go buy a supercard dstwo card ,it has its own snes emulator,that uses a special cpu chip inside the card,it only runs on that card,it also has its own gba emulator and mame(multi arcade machine)emulator ,and a video player that dont require you to convert video to .dpg,it plays avi,flv,mpg etc...

haha what a funny debate,too bad i dont give a shit about piracy,or these onld ass roms' copyrights,i been piratin these games since they first came out with a snes backup unit,but i did own a few,it was a 3,5" floppy drive that plugged into the snes carst slot & had another cart slot on top of it,you plug your cart into the top slot & it would write it to the floppy,via an onscreen menu,so there is a way to make your own snes roms,i had the machine to do it,called the doctor by bung made in hk

@LukeRulesatRoblox do the same thing run it in ure game section and make a folder saying Snes or something, im pretty sure it will work so try it and if it does then great but if it doesnt i dont know

@LukeRulesatRoblox when you open up the file it will come up with a directory, choose the folder the rom is in and presto is ready, some r4s or whatever may need to be ran through moonshell which is what myen needs, hope this helps
